This is where you’ll find answers to the most commonly asked questions about our shop. If you have a question and don’t see an answer here, please contact us.
Do you do custom/special orders?
Custom orders are welcome! Please contact us to find out more and discuss what you have in mind for a unique custom piece of art or jewelry.
Most custom orders require 14-30 business days to complete. Under special circumstances, this timeline may be longer. We will always keep you updated on the progress of your order. Please get in touch with us if you need the work sooner, we will try to accommodate, but it will depend on how many commissions we have in queue.
What shipping carrier do you use?
Most of our items will ship with tracking via USPS first-class or Priority mail. Books, Calendars, & CDs will show a media mail option (Reduced shipping fee). You will receive a shipping notification with tracking info once your order has shipped. For larger works, we use UPS. For larger international, we may use Fed-Ex. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you see no shipping options when checking out.
How long does it take to make my art/jewelry once I’ve ordered it?
The time we need to complete a piece of art or jewelry varies. Please see individual items for estimated processing times. Many of the items we offer are made-to-order (we create each just for you, per your order specifications). Some items are one-of-a-kind and ready to ship.
On average, ready-to-ship items may take seven days to ship. Made-to-order items will vary, but on average, it takes 14-30 business days to complete, and shipping will occur once completed.
Please keep in mind that we also take our time packaging the items to ensure that the jewelry or art is packaged safely for transit to you. Dry times may vary for art for safe shipping, and we will keep you updated on when the art will be safe to ship. We prefer to ship items out on Mondays so we can easily track the shipping during the week, but we will ship on other days for expedited orders.
If ordering multiple items with different processing times, your order will ship when all items have been completed (subject to the longest processing time).
If you have any questions about processing times, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Do you do wholesale?
Wholesale inquiries are welcome! We will consider wholesale requests on an individual case-by-case basis.
My order is a gift for someone. Can I have it gift-wrapped or sent with a gift note to the recipient? How do I request that?
How to request- If your order is a gift for someone and is being sent directly to the recipient, please let us know by leaving us a note in the “Order Notes” box at checkout. We will include a gift receipt which does not include prices, in lieu of a traditional receipt.
Gift note- You may include in your “Order Notes”, what you would like your gift note to the recipient to say. We will print out your gift note and include it in the package.
Gift wrapping- All our jewelry ships in a gift box, ready to give. All of our art ships carefully “ship wrapped” to protect the art in transit. Gift wrapping can be included for an additional $5 when you order an item.
Where do I find size details about the art or jewelry?
Please see individual item descriptions for details about size. Most of our items include specific size information and guidelines in the “Size Chart” box of each listing description and in the full description of each item.

Jewelry- Are your sterling silver pieces solid sterling silver?
Yes, all of our sterling silver jewelry is solid .925 sterling silver and bears the sterling silver .925 hallmark.
We also use fine silver elements in some of our designs. Fine silver is 95-99% pure silver and will be denoted as such in the item’s description.
Jewelry- Do you offer any pieces in solid gold?
Yes, we offer a selection of jewelry designs in solid 14k gold. These pieces will be denoted as such in the item description and will bear the 14k gold hallmark (with the exception of solid gold elements which are too small to bear a hallmark).
Additionally, if you see a design you love in another metal and would like us to create it in solid gold, please contact us for availability and pricing. We are happy to work with you in creating a custom piece you’ll love!
Jewelry- What is gold filled?
Gold filled jewelry is created using a sheet of solid gold, which must constitute at least 5% (1/20) of the item’s total weight, which is pressure and heat bonded to a sterling silver or base metal core (such as jeweler’s brass).
Creating gold filled materials is a unique and technical process, and only a few mills in the world do this.
Gold filled items are 5-10 times thicker gold layer than regular gold plating and 15-25 times thicker than gold electroplate, making it much more valuable and longer lasting because it is a layer of actual karat gold, not a microscopic film.
Gold filled does not de-laminate or peel like plated or “dipped” pieces, and with proper care it can last for as long as 30 years.
Jewelry- Will my copper jewelry tarnish or turn my skin green?
The copper used in our designs is pure, raw, solid copper. It is not treated, lacquered or coated in any way, so it will darken and develop a patina over time.
For some wearers, copper will leave a temporary green mark on your skin. It washes off with soap and water, and is harmless. If you have any questions about caring for copper or wearing copper, please feel free to contact us.
Jewelry- What is jeweler’s brass?
Jeweler’s Brass, also known as Red Brass or Merlin’s Gold is a type of brass that is higher in copper content than standard yellow brass (at approximately 85% copper) which gives it the same look and tone as 14k yellow gold.
Our jeweler’s brass jewelry is made of solid brass, which may darken and patina over time depending on conditions, though not as quickly as copper. These pieces are polished but not lacquered, and they are very easy to clean. For some wearers, brass will leave a temporary green mark on your skin. It washes off with soap and water, and is harmless. If you have any questions about caring for jeweler’s brass or wearing it, please feel free to contact us.
Jewelry- Are your gemstones and pearls real/genuine?
Yes. We take great pride in the selection of genuine stones and pearls we offer. Please see individual item descriptions for detailed information about the gemstones/pearls/components used in each design.
Our stones (unless otherwise stated in item descriptions) are genuine earth-mined precious and semi-precious stones that were carefully selected for each design. Most of our stones are also completely untreated. Any enhancements done to a stone will be clearly stated in the item’s description.
Our pearls are genuine untreated cultured freshwater and saltwater pearls of fine quality which were carefully hand selected for each design. We do not offer treated/dyed/manufactured pearls of any kind.
With the exception of our Sea Glass (which is genuine sea tumbled glass), Trade Glass (which is authentic recycled glass produced in Ghana), Specialty Glass Elements (such as our goldstone and blue-goldstone glass) and Cubic Zirconia Pave beads/findings (which will always be denoted as such in item descriptions) we do not use any man-made/manufactured gems in our jewelry designs.
If you have any questions or would like more details about a specific design or it’s components, and you don’t see your answer in the item’s description, please contact us. We’re happy to help!
