Description

The spiral represents growth, infinite expansion, introspection, and a centered state of awareness. It is one of the oldest known symbols and to me, one of the most powerful. Let this tiny memento be a reminder of the beauty and power of the human experience and the journey of life. This simple and beautiful hammer formed Koru spiral pendant necklace is made of solid copper and features a subtle hammer texture.

This necklace is made to order, no two are exactly the same. Yours will be custom created for you with your choice of chain length.

THE DETAILS

-Hammer formed solid copper spiral with subtle hammer texture.

-Spiral measures 14mm tall (just over 1/2″) and 12mm wide (1/2″) (please allow for very slight measurement variances as these are hand formed.

-Chain is a 1.4mm solid copper cable chain with hammered hook and loop clasp.

-Choose your desired chain length from the drop down menu. (Necklace in photos is 18″ length).

-These are hand formed and each one has slight variances and it’s own subtle texture features, but will remain true to the design shown here.

ABOUT COPPER JEWELRY

The copper in this design is pure, raw, solid copper. It is not treated, lacquered or coated in any way, so it will darken and develop a nice patina over time.

For some wearers, copper will leave a temporary green mark on your skin. It washes off with soap and water, and is harmless. If you have any questions about caring for copper or wearing copper, please feel free to message me before purchase.

NECKLACE LENGTH GUIDELINES

If you already know your desired necklace length, simply select it from the drop down menu. Sizes are listed by the inch. If you would like an in between size (example 18 1/2″) please select the closest size from the menu and then leave me a note at checkout requesting the size. I will accommodate the size request as closely as possible.

If you don’t know what length you need, here’s how to measure to get the proper size. Take a flexible tape measure and drape it around your neck at the length you want the necklace to lay. The measurement where the two ends meet is your necklace length.

If you don’t have a tape measure handy, you can use a string and a flat ruler. Simply drape the string around your neck in the same way as you would with a tape measure. Pinch the string on each end where the two ends meet, and then place that section of string against a flat ruler to get your measurement.

You can also measure the length of a necklace you own that fits how you like in order to get your measurement, but if you choose this method please try to measure a necklace that is of a similar style to this one or at least is designed to lay the same way. Different necklace styles can fit very differently even if they are the same length measured end to end.

That’s it! Then choose your necklace measurement from the drop down menu and I will create your necklace to your desired length.

  1. VIRGINIA K. (Rafi And Klee Studios)

As a healthcare provider during the pandemic, I have not worn jewelry for over two months. This spiral represents my Covid Journey, and it had to be copper!
I have made wire spirals before, but could not get a quality copper chain and a perfectly-hammered spiral done in any reasonable amount of time.
This piece is better than I could make, very petite, elegant and understated.
“The ions in copper alloys are both antiviral and antibacterial, able to kill over 99.9% of bacteria within two hours. Copper is even more effective than silver, which requires moisture to activate its antimicrobial properties.

“Copper is the top surface to use because it has been used by mankind for three millennia,” says Larrouy-Maumus. “The [Ancient] Greeks were already using copper for their cooking and medical use.”

  2. Marsha Fitzgerald (Rafi And Klee Studios)

My order was in the mail yesterday. It was well packaged and even included a certificate of authenticity. The necklace is lovely! I appreciate the hook clasp – I couldn’t have opened the spring clasp. Thank you for the timely delivery and excellent customer service.
