Dainty Minimalist December Birthstone Necklace – Genuine Faceted Arizona Turquoise

A lovely, delicate little collarbone style necklace featuring a gorgeous single faceted genuine turquoise. Perfect minimalist design to wear alone or layer with other necklaces. Choose from Sterling silver, 14k Yellow Gold Filled, or 14k Rose Gold Filled.

The birthstones for December are Turquoise, Tanzanite, and Zircon.

Turqoise is known as the “Stone of purification and protection.”

For this necklace design, I’ve chosen a beautiful genuine faceted Arizona turquoise as the centerpiece. The turquoise used for this design are expertly faceted, untreated, and vivid in color. The color can best be described as a bright happy robin’s egg blue, with some slight to medium brown matrix veining.

This necklace is made to order and no two turquoise are exactly the same. Yours will be created just for you in your choice of length and metal.

THE DETAILS

-A single genuine faceted turquoise is the centerpiece of this dainty necklace.

-I will choose a turquoise from my collection to create your bespoke necklace. (Last photo shows a portion of my faceted turquoise selection.) Each one is unique and they are all beautiful.

-Turquoise are robin’s egg blue in color, with some slight to medium brown matrix veining patterns. A handful of them show some light blue to white surface speckle patterns. They all average 6mm in size.

-Turquoise is connected directly to a lovely, delicate and sparkly cable chain which is finished with a spring ring clasp and figure eight loop with bead detail at the back. *Please Note* Fine chain is delicate and should be treated with due care to help prevent breakage.

-Choose your necklace length from the drop menu. Necklaces shown in photos are 15″ length.

-Offered in your choice of metal: Solid Sterling Silver, 14k Yellow Gold Filled, 14k Rose Gold Filled. Choose your metal from the drop menu.

ABOUT GOLD FILLED JEWELRY

Gold-filled jewelry is composed of a solid layer of gold, which must constitute at least 5% (1/20) of the item’s total weight, mechanically bonded to sterling silver or a base metal (such as jeweler’s brass). Gold-filled items are 5 to 10 times thicker than regular gold plating, and 15 to 25 times thicker than gold electroplate, making it much more valuable and longer lasting because gold-filled has an actual layer of karat gold, not just a microscopic film as on plated jewelry which is estimated to be 0.05% or less of the metal product. Most gold-filled is 12kt or 14kt gold-filled (I use 14kt for my pieces). Gold-filled does not de-laminate or peel like plated or “dipped” products. It is tarnish resistant and does not tarnish as readily as silver. Many find that they never have to clean gold-filled items at all. However, from time to time your jewelry may become dirty from everyday wear. To clean gold-filled it is best to use mild soap and water.

Size Chart

NECKLACE LENGTH GUIDELINES
  • If you already know your desired necklace length, simply select it from the drop down menu. Sizes are listed by the inch. If you would like an in between size (example 18 1/2") please select the closest size from the menu and then leave me a note at checkout requesting the size. I will accommodate the size request as closely as possible.
  • If you don't know what length you need, here's how to measure to get the proper size. Take a flexible tape measure and drape it around your neck at the length you want the necklace to lay. The measurement where the two ends meet is your necklace length.
  • If you don't have a tape measure handy, you can use a string and a flat ruler. Simply drape the string around your neck in the same way as you would with a tape measure. Pinch the string on each end where the two ends meet, and then place that section of string against a flat ruler to get your measurement.
  • You can also measure the length of a necklace you own that fits how you like in order to get your measurement, but if you choose this method please try to measure a necklace that is of a similar style to this one or at least is designed to lay the same way. Different necklace styles can fit very differently even if they are the same length measured end to end.
