THIS IS AN ENHANCED PRINT
This is a high-quality print of my work on archival art paper. I enhance my prints using either ink, paint, pastel, or a combination of mediums. Each one is unique. This piece is mounted on wood and ready to hang out of the box. It is completely hand-crafted by (me) the artist, with unique texture patterns added by hand. No two are the same. These pieces are signed and dated on the back by the artist.

ARTWORK STORY
This work, The Joy Of Koi, is inspired by moments you allow your mind to wonder. As an artist, my mind tends to wander a lot. However, it wasn’t always that way. There have been moments in my life when I have been overwhelmed by all the drama around me. One day, I was sitting at the hospital and ruminated on the responsibility that had just been dropped on my shoulders. I remember needing to step outside. I wanted to run away. My mind was buzzing and jumping from problem to problem. It was just too much. I stood outside in a secluded area in front of a small fountain. I spotted something shiny in the dark water.  Suddenly I realized that there was a large Koi in the water staring at me. I stared back. I’m unsure how long I stood there, but that pattern interrupt gave me enough time to breathe and gather my thoughts. I smiled at the Koi and said thank you. Then the Koi dropped back into the dark water and disappeared. There was something magical about that experience. This work is meant to be a reminder of that story and the peace I felt.
