Astraea Star Stud Earrings- “Astraea” means “Of the Stars” or “Starry One” and these twinkling star stud earrings are a perfect embodiment of that celestial realm. Genuine faceted star cut labradorite stones are carefully mounted in hand forged solid sterling silver settings where they sparkle and shine!

These earrings are the first run batch of a new design, some of these are sold and some are available. You will receive one of the pairs shown here.

THE DETAILS

-Genuine star cut faceted labradorite crystals. These are earthy grey in body color, translucent, with solid crystal structure and very nice flash. Flash is primarily green/blue with some showing more hints of green/gold.

-Solid sterling silver settings are hand forged of 20g silver wire to form the custom prong settings and earring posts. Quality sterling silver butterfly clutches sit at the back, ensuring comfort and security.

-Stars are 10mm diameter and posts are 20g (just under 1mm, comfortable and sturdy) thickness by 11mm (7/16″) length (standard post length) with security notches at the ends for the butterfly clutches to grasp.

Labradorite is a mineral belonging to the Feldspar group, named after the Canadian province of Labrador, the classic locality of this gemstone. It is prized for it’s vivid rainbow of color play and it’s light refraction, known as Labradorescence.
