Impressionist Flower Stud Earrings – These began as a studio experiment, and now I’m a bit obsessed with them!

Each of these was created using an unconventional technique called “water casting” where solid sterling silver is torch fired to a molten state and dropped into ice water to produce organic shapes. The shapes I got were exactly what I was going for, these sort of romantic and abstract flower shapes, like impressionist flower paintings but in very wearable sterling silver. I finished them with solid sterling silver hand forged posts and solid sterling silver butterfly clutches. They’re really kind of a dream!

These earrings are limited run, created in very small batches. This is not an exact science so these will be available when I have successfully produced some pairs of them. Currently I have these three pairs, and you will receive one of these pairs upon ordering.

THE DETAILS

-Completely hand forged in solid sterling silver. Abstract flowers are water casted and each one is unique.

-Solid sterling silver posts are hand forged of 20g silver wire. Quality sterling silver butterfly clutches sit at the back, ensuring comfort and security.

-Flowers vary slightly in size but are an average of 6-7mm (1/4″ or just over) in diameter. Posts are 20g thickness (comfortable and sturdy) by 11mm (7/16″) length (standard post length) with security notches at the ends for the butterfly clutches to grasp.
