Saturday Night In Oil City: Jazz, Poetry, and Punks for a Cause!

If you’ve been looking for a reason to get out of the studio and support the local scene, this Saturday, April 25th, is offering a massive double-feature right here in Oil City. From smooth jazz and spoken word to high-energy live music for a great cause, there is something for every creative soul.

Support the Stacks: Poetry & Jazz at the Library

A promotional flyer for an open mic poetry reading event during National Library Week, featuring light refreshments, raffles, jazz music by the band Catro, and emphasizing participation from poets of all experience levels.

It is National Library Week, and we are coming together to support one of our most essential community resources. The Bridge Literary Arts Center and the Oil Region Library Association are hosting an Open Mic Poetry Reading featuring the smooth sounds of the jazz trio Catro. This event is going to be something to behold!

How the Art Syndicate Members Can Help:

The library is holding a raffle to raise much-needed funds, and they are taking donations of art and creations. Klee and I will be donating pieces, and we would love for the Syndicate to show up strong! We love our library! Let’s help keep them running.

  • Where to Drop Off: Leave your donations with (the awesome) Kaleb at The Fallen Shoppe.
  • Deadline: Please drop them off by Friday. Cynthia will be picking everything up on Saturday morning.
  • Don’t Forget: Include your business card with your donation so winners know exactly who made their new treasure!

Event Details:

  • When: Saturday, April 25th | 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Where: Oil City Library, 2 Central Ave.
  • Cost: $5 Cover Charge
