Tax Forms, Delays, and More Books: The Final Stretch of Dear Artist, Don’t Give Up!

Well, here we are again with another exciting update on Dear Artist, Don’t Give Up! I know, I know, you’re probably thinking, “Rafi, didn’t we do this dance already?” And the answer is yes, but this time it’s not a drill—sort of. The books will be shipping soon, but I hit a little snag… in the form of tax paperwork. Oh, the joys of running a business. Nothing says “living the artist’s dream” like trying to figure out forms that look like they were written in another dimension.

I was all set to put in the order for the books when BAM—taxes slapped me across the face and said, “Not so fast!” It’s the adult version of when you excitedly run to a playground only to step in dog poo.

But here’s the good news: I’ve been promised that the paperwork will be finalized by next week, which means I can FINALLY put the order through! Cue the confetti cannon!

Now, here’s where we hit the “bad” news. Because of the delay, I’m pushing the shipping date to November 15th. I know, I know—it’s a little bit of a wait. But listen, with this extra time, I’ll be making sure each and every book gets printed, delivered, signed, and bundled with all the goodies (poster, bookmark, audiobook MP3, and a little something extra!). I want to make sure it’s perfect.

There’s this Spanish saying my dad’s friend used to say: “Tanto nadar para morir a la orilla.” Which translates to “All that swimming just to die at the edge.” Well, I am NOT about to die at this edge. No matter how much my brain is like, “Hey, remember that saying?” We’re so close to the finish line I can practically taste it.

Honestly, I can’t thank you all enough for sticking with me on this journey. Some of you have been here from day one, and I appreciate you more than you know. Seriously, writing a book is hard, lol. I’ve learned a lot along the way, like how tax forms are a pain in the arse. But hey, we’re almost there, and the excitement is REAL.

Speaking of exciting news—due to the extension, I’m able to add 20 more books to the order! That means we’re no longer sold out. I know some of you missed out on pre-orders, so this is your chance to grab one of these special bundles.

So, to recap: Tax paperwork is annoying, but we’re on track. Books are shipping out on November 15th. You’re awesome. More books are available. And writing a book is hard but also totally worth it.
