THIS IS AN ENHANCED PRINT
This is a high-quality print of my work on archival art paper. I enhance my prints using either ink, paint, pastel, or a combination of mediums. Each one is unique. This piece is mounted on wood and ready to hang out of the box. It is completely hand-crafted by (me) the artist, with unique texture patterns added by hand. No two are the same. These pieces are signed and dated on the back by the artist.
ARTWORK STORY
This work, Into The Deep, is inspired by moments you allow your mind to wonder. As an artist, my mind tends to wander a lot. However, it wasn’t always that way. There have been moments in my life when I have been overwhelmed by all the drama around me. One day, I was standing before the ocean in Key Largo. I was consumed by the drama that was happening in my teenage life. Suddenly something caught my eye in the water. It was an octopus. I had never seen one in the wild before and was enthralled. For a moment, my focus shifted from drama to curiosity. I wondered what it was thinking as it looked up through the water at me. My world consisted of only me and this creature for about half an hour. As I moved closer, dark ink filled the water, and it disappeared. I was left contemplating the mind and how much relief I felt from my thoughts due to this encounter. This piece symbolizes our power to embrace curiosity and wonder instead of drama.
