Description
“Eternal Hearth” – A one of a kind 14k rose gold filled genuine pink-orange fire Labradorite pendant necklace. This piece was lovingly hand forged and woven in 14k Rose Gold Filled and Genuine Labradorite stone.
Featuring an other worldly flame-cut pink orange labradorite, this pendant is a celebration of warmth and light. Instead of working in contrasting colors, I leaned into the warmth of the stone with a rose gold filled setting that enhances the rare pink-orange flash it displays. Please see below under “Artist Statement” for more about the creation and intention behind this piece, as well as more information about the stone.
This necklace is one of a kind, you’ll receive the exact one shown in the photos. I photographed and videoed this pendant from various angles and in various lighting conditions, to best capture the dynamic light and color play it displays.
THE DETAILS
-Pendant measures 37mm (about 1.5″) tall (not including the top loop which adds about 1/4″), 19mm (3/4″) wide at it’s widest point, and 8mm (5/16″) deep.
-The stone is a genuine Labradorite, organic flame-cut in shape and earthy grey-brown in body color with the most gorgeous pink/rose/coral/orange flash, that is just as dynamic as an actual flame.
-The entire setting is 14k rose gold filled, hammer forged and hand woven. Back plate is soldered securely with 14k rose gold solder, and hand woven setting flows beautifully and securely around the stone, nesting it in place.
-Chain is a 14k rose gold filled cable chain 1.5mm width, finished with with a spring ring clasp. It looks delicate but it is quite sturdy. Chain is 24″ length.

ARTIST STATEMENT
“Eternal Hearth” serves as a quiet reminder of your own inner strength and the warmth you carry with you. A piece designed to be worn close to the heart, shining with a light that is always and forever yours.
Featuring an other worldly flame-cut pink orange labradorite, this pendant is a celebration of warmth and light. Instead of working in contrasting colors, I leaned into the warmth of the stone with a rose gold filled setting that enhances the rare pink-orange flash it displays in it’s dynamic light play- that shifts and dances as you move. The flame cut shape of the stone doesn’t shout, but whispers “Eternal Hearth”- a kind of slow-burn fire and passion that is as beautiful and rare as the stone itself.
This stone has a color that is unlike anything I’ve seen or had before. Looking at pictures of it, you wouldn’t be faulted for asking “What color is it actually?” Some of the pictures show deep red-orange, and some look like it’s a muted rose pink, while others show electric coral pink flash. The answer is, it’s all of them! The color of this stone is not only rare, it’s incredibly dynamic, showing off an array of all of these colors in it’s flash, depending on the angle of view and the lighting it’s in. I included video of the pendant, so you can really get a sense of what I’m talking about.
ABOUT LABRADORITE
Labradorite is a mineral belonging to the Feldspar group, named after the Canadian province of Labrador, the classic locality of this gemstone. It is prized for it’s vivid rainbow of color play and it’s light refraction, known as Labradorescence.
Labradorite is considered to be a stone of protection, transformation, harmony and balance, enlightenment, and honest expression of one’s true self. It is said to strengthen intuition, impart strength and perseverance, and raise the consciousness of the wearer.
ABOUT GOLD FILLED JEWELRY
Gold-filled jewelry is composed of a solid layer of gold, which must constitute at least 5% (1/20) of the item’s total weight, mechanically bonded to sterling silver or a base metal (such as jeweler’s brass). Gold-filled items are 5 to 10 times thicker than regular gold plating, and 15 to 25 times thicker than gold electroplate, making it much more valuable and longer lasting because gold-filled has an actual layer of karat gold, not just a microscopic film as on plated jewelry which is estimated to be 0.05% or less of the metal product. Most gold-filled is 12kt or 14kt gold-filled (I use 14kt for my pieces). Gold-filled does not de-laminate or peel like plated or “dipped” products. It is tarnish resistant and does not tarnish as readily as silver. Many find that they never have to clean gold-filled items at all. However, from time to time your jewelry may become dirty from everyday wear. To clean gold-filled it is best to use mild soap and water.
