Description
A simple minimalist rustic hand wrought, hammer forged jeweler’s brass cuff bracelet. Hammer wrought “Textile” texture gives the elegant look of woven fabric or raw silk. Rich hammered texture unique to each one. Looks fantastic by itself or layered with other bracelets (shown in last photo).
This bracelet is made to order, the one in the photos is sold and yours will be created just for you, with optional personalization (see below for details).
THE DETAILS
-Custom sized per your wrist measurement, simply select your wrist size from the drop menu.
-You may choose to personalize this piece with custom stamping (see below for guidelines). Custom stamping is optional.
-This bracelet has a thin minimalist profile but is constructed to be sturdy and lasting. I start with solid 8 gauge jeweler’s brass wire which gets hammer formed and shaped completely by hand into a cuff with it’s own unique rustic texture, no two are ever the same. After the hammer forming, it gets meticulously refined, filed and polished by hand, to ensure that it is absolutely comfortable to wear.
-Bracelet is made to your custom wrist measurement and is approximately 5-6mm (about 3/16″) wide top to bottom and 1.5mm cuff thickness front to back.
-Bracelet is finished by polishing to a high shine finish which looks great and protects the integrity of the metal. You may request a more matte finish if desired, but please keep in mind that the metal will patina more quickly if given a matte finish.
-Inside of bracelet is stamped with my “KA” maker’s mark to one side.
PERSONALIZATION GUIDELINES
-Custom stamping on the inside or outside of this bracelet is optional. You may choose not to request it (simply select “None” in the custom stamping placement drop menu and leave the personalization box blank).
-More photos of font coming soon, first photo shows an example of the font size and style in the “KA” maker’s mark.
-Use the personalization box to enter the stamping you would like, please check spelling carefully as I will stamp exactly what you have typed onto the bracelet.
-You may use the font style drop menu to request the font be all uppercase, all lowercase, or exactly as you have typed it in the box. If none are specified, default is all uppercase.
-Please keep your custom stamping at or under 40 characters to fit on this bracelet. If you need slightly over, please message me so I can see if it will work.
-Stamping can include letters, numbers, and common punctuation characters. If you’re not sure I have your desired character available, please feel free to check with me before ordering.
-I have some symbol stamps available such as hearts, stars, spirals, etc. If you would like a symbol added to your bracelet please message me before purchase to see if I have it available.
ABOUT JEWELER’S BRASS
Jeweler’s Brass, also known as Red Brass or Merlin’s Gold is a type of brass that is higher in copper content than standard yellow brass (at approximately 85% copper) which gives it the same look and tone as 14k yellow gold.
My jeweler’s brass jewelry is made of solid brass which may darken and patina over time depending on conditions, though not as quickly as copper. These pieces are polished but not lacquered, and they are very easy to clean.
For some wearers, brass will leave a temporary green mark on your skin. It washes off with soap and water, and is harmless. If you have any questions about caring for jeweler’s brass or wearing it, please feel free to message me before purchase.
WRIST MEASURING GUIDELINES
If you already know your wrist measurement, simply select it from the drop down menu. Sizes are listed by the quarter inch. If you fall in between sizes (example: 7 1/8″) please round up to the next quarter inch measurement (in this example it would be 7 1/4″).
If you don’t know your wrist measurement, here’s how to measure to get the proper size. Take a flexible tape measure and measure around the part of your wrist where you want the bracelet to sit. The tape measure should be snug against your skin (no gap between the tape measure and your wrist) but not so tight that it squeezes your wrist. The measurement where the two ends meet is your wrist measurement.
If you don’t have a tape measure handy, you can use a string and a flat ruler. Simply place the string around your wrist in the same way as you would with a tape measure. Pinch the string on each end where the two ends meet, and then place that section of string against a flat ruler to get your measurement.
That’s it! Then choose your wrist measurement from the drop down menu and I will size your bracelet accordingly.
