A Rogue Phrase Cuff – A “One Off” cuff bracelet that has been debossed (stamped) with a phrase that was derived from or is familiar jargon within our awesome Rogue Artist community. In this case “Retail Peddler”, let me explain…

What’s the story? “Retail Peddler” kinda sounds derogatory for a creative (you may be thinking). Yeah, we kinda thought so too. Once upon a time, Rafi and I were fledgling artists, just getting started putting our art out there and sharing it with the world. No one may have told you this, but when you’re ready to share art with the world, sometimes there’s paperwork. One of the places we had to go was to get our license that would allow us to show our art and collect monies in exchange for it at shows in our town.

When we filled out the paperwork, we wrote on the form that we were artists. When we got the certificate back (which we were legally obligated to display at our places of business) we excitedly opened the envelope to gaze upon our document of officiality, starry eyed and ready to conduct commerce, and we saw the words “RETAIL PEDDLER” emblazoned upon it. This was the designation they had assigned us. So, we embraced it, and joked about it, and eventually I put it on this bracelet. That’s right, I do peddle my wares in the world of retail, and no one can stop me (as long as I have the certificate prominently displayed)!!

This bracelet is one of a kind, you will receive the exact one shown in the photos.

THE DETAILS

-This cuff bracelet is solid sterling silver, hand forged and hand debossed (stamped) with the phrase “Retail Peddler” in typewriter font.

-After the forming, stamping, shaping, it was meticulously refined, filed and polished by hand, to ensure that it is absolutely comfortable to wear.

-Bracelet is 6mm (1/4″) width top to bottom and 1.5mm thick front to back.

-This bracelet can flex open and closed a bit, to fit most wrist sizes comfortably (with 5.5″ to 8.5″ wrist measurements being the most comfortable range).

-Inside of bracelet is stamped with my “KA” maker’s mark, and .925 sterling silver hallmark to one side.

-Bracelet was finished by polishing to a high shine which looks great and protects the integrity of the metal. I did leave a few tool markings and “maker’s nuances” in there though, because they’re cool and they show that a human made it. If you’re like us, you like that sort of thing.
