Hey, Awesome Humans! Where do I start?
The time has come to update you on the wild journey of the Dear Artist, Don’t Give Up book and, yes… there’s one more twist in the story! Your books will ship out November 26th— just in time to land on your doorstep as you recover from your Thanksgiving feast (and the fun that comes with too much family time 😆).
First, the audiobook—turns out, recording is one thing, but editing? Oh boy. I’m currently up close and personal with all the weird sounds my face makes (yes, I had no idea either), and let’s just say my microphone has picked up every breath, swallow, and mysterious face pop it could find. It’s a time-consuming, highly entertaining process (for the first five minutes anyway). But don’t worry, I’m in the final stages of silencing the rogue mouth noises so you can enjoy a smooth listening experience.
Now, about those goodies… Remember the additional items I promised you? Posters, bookmarks, little surprises? Well, they were supposed to be here days ago, but FedEx, apparently, has decided they’re too precious to share and has them on a mystical hold in Trenton, NJ. Rest assured, I’m doing all I can to free them from their Trenton prison and deliver them safely to your package!
And there’s another little life update: We’ve been getting up close and personal (really personal) with doctors. Yes, we’ve had an unexpected increase in doctor’s appointments and hospital visits. Don’t worry—we’re fine (so far)! But apparently, if you haven’t been to the doctor in 25 years, they’re ready to check everything. We’re talking tests, screenings, exams, and a deep dive into parts of us we didn’t even know needed investigating. Let’s just say some of these tests are… very exposing. I won’t go into detail, but let’s just say, after all this, I’m pretty sure our doctors know us better than we know ourselves.
Here’s the good news—the books are here, and they look fantastic! They’re sitting proudly in our gallery, practically glowing, and I can’t wait for you to hold one in your hands. So, Klee and I will be spending our Thanksgiving packing up books and (hopefully) the goodies, carefully prepping each package with love (and maybe a little pie filling on the side). On the 26th, you’ll get an email with immediate access to the audiobook download and digital goodies, so you’ll be able to jump into it right away. The books should arrive within a week, depending on your distance from us.

Here’s something extra cool: these books are truly one-of-a-kind. They’re exclusive pre-order editions and won’t be available to the public. The non-pre-order editions will be available to the public in March 2025. That means each of you who pre-ordered is getting a very special early edition—a unique piece of this journey that only you and a select group of early believers will own. When this book finally hits shelves in March, you’ll be able to look at your copy, packed with special pre-order love, and know you were part of its launch from the very beginning.
