Join Us For A Week of Awesomeness, Creativity, and Spooky Fun!

We’ve got a week of creative spookiness planned and hope you can join us for what we’ve got going on! We will be in our studio during the day, but in the evenings, we have some fun-tastical stuff planned. From little monsters painting pumpkins to live stream book celebrations and spooky stories, it’s shaping up to be one heck of a Halloween week. Full disclosure: we’re also really looking forward to a nap at some point soon… but first, we’ve got art, books, ghost stories, and candy to dish out. Ok, here it is… ready, set go!

Wednesday, October 29th — Kids Pumpkin Painting Party (At the Exchange)

Join us Wednesday, October 29th at 5:30 PM for Kids Pumpkin Painting at The Exchange in Oil City, a fun, creative evening where kids can paint their own pumpkins while parents kick back with dinner or drinks.

Friday, October 31st — Spooky Halloween Stream (Live Stream at 4PM Eastern)

Dear Artist, Don’t Give Up! The Book Release and Giveaway Countdown Begins

It’s finally happening. After a long (and slightly chaotic) journey, Dear Artist, Don’t Give Up: Letters from a Rogue is officially preparing for release at the end of October! The formatting is complete, the cover is ready, and I’m double-checking everything before I hit that magical publish button.

This book has been through quite an adventure with me. I had every intention of releasing it earlier this year, but when Klee fell ill, I put everything on the shelf and focused on what mattered most… Klee. Now that she’s feeling better (and back to her awesome self), it’s game on.

From pre-release copies to final edits, this book has been my companion through some wild ups and downs. I poured everything I’ve learned, fought through, and laughed about as a creative human into these pages. It’s raw, funny, honest, and a little kick-in-the-butt motivational.

The softcover will (hopefully) be out before Halloween, because nothing says “spooky season” like finally finishing a project you started forever ago. The audiobook will follow later this year, as soon as I can afford to grab more ISBNs and pay for the copyright. (Seriously, ISBNs are such a racket.)

What’s Next

I already have another book in the works, and all I’ll say for now is that it’s going to be badass. I’m keeping quiet on details until it’s closer to the finish line, but trust me, it’s worth the wait.

Emerging from the Studio Cave: A Wild Adventure into the Real World

Picture this: Rafi and Klee, two artists who spend an absurd amount of time in their creative lair, cautiously venturing into the outside world like long-lost explorers rediscovering civilization. This time, the grand adventure? Klee’s doctor’s appointment.

Now, in case you didn’t know, leaving the studio isn’t something we do lightly. There are variables out there—things like other humans, unpredictable traffic, and gasp the weather. And speaking of weather, let’s just say Pennsylvania was throwing some real mood swings at us lately.

Blizzard apocalypse. Snow drifts. Ice patches. The kind of cold and snow that makes you question all of your life choices… or whether you’ll ever leave the house again.

This is mostly what this winter has looked like. It’s beautiful (from inside)

Today? Absolutely gorgeous. Like, did we just step into a completely different timeline? The sun was out, birds were singing, and for the first time in what felt like an eternity, we didn’t have to worry about frostbite just from existing. We even dared to crack a window in the car and blast some music. Reckless, I know.

The Doctor’s Verdict: Optimism and Good Vibes

We’re happy to report that Klee’s appointment went really well! We’re still in the monitoring phase with her medication, but everything is looking good, and we’ll be back in a couple of months for a follow-up. The doctor was optimistic, and so are we. Woohoo!

Afterward, we celebrated with the traditional “Let’s get home as quickly as possible” ritual. (Because if you brave the outside world, you must reward yourself with expedited coziness, right?)
