I realized something while I was laid out for two months. I’ve been working too hard. Right now, I am looking at myself closely, not just looking at this self-portrait on my desk, but truly examining where I am in life and making a conscious choice to pivot. I’m choosing to work less and create more… live more. Life is meant to be deeply enjoyed, and getting stuck in the exhausting loop of a relentless hustle is the absolute opposite of what any creative should do. True magic doesn’t exist in the grind, it lives in the play, the experimentation, and the joy of creating just for the sake of it. Here is to remembering to play daily and enjoy every moment you can. I don’t know what any of this is going to look like, but I am unstoppable when I set my mind to something.
