Is my mascara running? No. This is my war paint. For once, be honest. I can’t be what anyone wants or needs me to be. I am who I am. You love me for that, or you don’t. You can handle that, or you just can’t. You can accept me, or you don’t. I can’t be anyone else. No matter how much I may try, I can only be me. I am going to war with the construct of expectations and no longer tiptoe around what people expect of me. I am who I am. I am prepared for what comes with this level of honesty, truth, and love for my life. I am ready to take it, all the hurt and heartbreak as well as all the love.
