“Renewal By Storm” –  Creating this piece was a cathartic and healing experience for me. When I laid eyes on this remarkable silver labradorite, not only was I taken by it’s array of muted silvery stormy colors but I could clearly see a thunderstorm and rain shower, moving and alive, within it’s surface patterning. I flipped it over to see the backside and to my utter astonishment, I saw a thunderhead cloud off to one side with a fully realized rainbow peeking out from it. I actually gasped.

I spent a great deal of time creating this piece, and it made me think of my own recent journey with my health and wellbeing. Renewal by storm felt right and true to me. The storm can feel chaotic, maybe even a little dangerous and scary at times. It can be hard to see what’s coming up ahead and at times it’s natural to feel lost. The truth is, the storm also clears away the debris of stagnation, washes clean, resets and renews life, makes way for growth, and sometimes we even get a rainbow to help us remember that it’s going to be okay. I poured all of my focus and feelings of healing and renewal into the creation of this piece, and I hope the special someone that it’s meant for can feel that as well.

As an additional side note, I LOVE thunderstorms. Always have. I’ve never seen a stone embody the look and energy of a storm quite like this one does. It’s quite literally like a storm has been captured inside it. It excites me to no end. Now back to the description…

This Labradorite stone is oval cut and has an incredible silver flash unlike anything I’ve seen before, with fine dark striations that look like rain, and muted storm colors (blues, purples, golds) that really have the look and energy of a thunderstorm (complete with storm cloud and rainbow on the back).

The setting is unique, forged in solid antiqued sterling silver with a one of a kind backing in a raindrop shape. Mounted in a very secure antiqued sterling silver bezel, which flows together beautifully into the tree design on the front of the stone. Completing the design is a very sturdy antiqued sterling silver chain with an extender, making it adjustable.

This necklace is one of a kind, you will receive the exact one shown in the photos. Necklace has been photographed from various angles and lighting to best capture it’s dynamic color and light play.

THE DETAILS

-Pendant measures 48mm (1 7/8″) tall (not including the top loop which adds about 1/4″), 37mm (just under 1 1/2″) wide, and about 8mm (just over 1/4″) deep.

-The stone is a genuine natural oval cut Labradorite with an incredible silvery flash unlike anything I’ve seen before,  fine dark striations that look like rain, and muted storm colors (blues, purples, golds) that really have the look and energy of a thunderstorm (complete with storm cloud and rainbow on the back).

-Setting is entirely hand forged and woven in solid antiqued Sterling silver. On the back side, a unique raindrop design.

-Chain is a 1.5mm solid antiqued sterling silver cable chain with spring ring clasp and extender, making it adjustable from 20″ to 24″.

-Each of my Tree of Life necklaces are one of a kind, no two are ever the same. I absolutely love creating these and watching them take form. They always amaze and delight me with their unique personalities when they’re completed.
