“Movement In Stillness” –  Tree of Life pendant necklace. Entirely hand forged and woven in solid antiqued sterling silver, featuring a luminous blue and green labradorite stone.

Life and nature have so much to reveal to us, so much to offer in every moment of every experience, but the movements and the wisdoms are subtle and quiet, easy to miss. In the past I have tried to push my way forward, paddle the current, shout louder than my inner mind chatter, and fire my arrows as an assertion that “I know the way, I know the trajectory.”

I have learned through trials and triumphs, to still my mind chatter and listen. Take it in and let the subtle movements and wisdoms reveal themselves. Our minds like to trick us that they have the answers if we just circle around this puzzle one more time, but for me in truth, that just leaves me lost in my own head. It’s only in those moments of gorgeous stillness that we experience any true movement at all.

The act of creating my tree of life pieces is a meditation in stillness. Each hammer strike of the backplate and each turn of the fine wire is a practice in mindfulness. Each one is a collaboration with the materials and the energies present in the moment, and each one surprises and delights me.

This necklace is one of a kind, you will receive the exact one shown in the photos.

THE DETAILS

-Pendant measures 33mm ( 1 1/4″) tall (not including the top loop which adds about 1/4″), 33mm (1 1/4″) wide, and about 8mm (just over 1/4″) deep.

-The stone is a genuine round cut labradorite with stunningly vivid blue and green color play and flash. Deep earth toned inclusions create a wondrous “landscape” across the face of the stone.

-Setting is entirely hand forged and woven in solid antiqued Sterling silver. On the back side, a unique koru spiral design provides the base for the secure woven bezel, which flows together beautifully into the tree design on the front of the stone.

-Chain is a 1.5mm solid antiqued sterling silver cable chain with lobster claw clasp and extender, making it adjustable from 24″ to 28″.

-Each of my Tree of Life necklaces are one of a kind, no two are ever the same. I absolutely love creating these and watching them take form. They always amaze and delight me with their unique personalities when they’re completed.

Labradorite is a mineral belonging to the Feldspar group, named after the Canadian province of Labrador, the classic locality of this gemstone. It is prized for it’s vivid rainbow of color play and it’s light refraction, known as Labradorescence.
