Rooted In Dance (woman) is part of my series The Nature of Being, where the human form and the natural world meet to explore what it means to grow, expand, and stay grounded through it all. In this piece, the figure lifts into a pose that feels equal parts strength and surrender. Her branches reach far above her, stretching toward possibility, while her roots hold steady beneath her.

This work is all about the quiet power of consistent growth. The kind of growth that does not always look dramatic but changes everything over time. Like a tree, she grows in every direction at once. Some of that growth is visible in the strong lines of her body and the reach of her branches. Some of it is happening within, where no one else can see it. That is the part we often forget to honor.
