from The Nature of Being series

Rooted In Dance (man) is part of my series The Nature of Being, where tree forms and human forms come together to explore what it means to be present, grounded, and always growing. In this work, the figure leans into a quiet dance that lives somewhere between balance, curiosity, and inner movement. His branches reach outward in all directions, the same way we reach toward new ideas and new versions of ourselves, even when we are not entirely sure where those branches will lead.

Like every piece in this series, the growth here is subtle. It is the kind of growth that happens in real life. Slow, steady, and often unnoticed by anyone who is not living inside your skin. Trees are always growing even when no one sees it, and so are we. Most of our transformation doesn’t happen in the spotlight. It happens in the roots, in the stretch, in the quiet moments when we finally give ourselves room to expand.

Rooted In Dance (man) is a reminder that being grounded does not mean standing still. You can be rooted in the here and now and still stretch toward what is possible. You can hold your place and still move with your own rhythm. You do not have to choose between stability and expansion. You get to dance with both.

At its core, this piece celebrates a simple truth. We are always growing, even when no one notices. Sometimes that is when the most powerful growth happens.
