Artist Statement “For me, this piece is about the light we carry even when things feel a little gritty or worn down around the edges. I wanted to play with the contrast between that dark, textured ‘grunge’ background and the vibrant, internal warmth of the figure.
It’s an exploration of resilience, and the idea that our heart and our inner glow aren’t dampened by the messy world outside. Instead, they stand out even more because of it. I kept the form simple and deconstructed to focus on that core energy. It’s a reminder that even in the middle of the noise and the chaos, there is a quiet, steady light inside of you that belongs entirely to you.”
