THE DETAILS

-Choose your desired necklace length from the drop down menu. Each size is adjustable by 2 inches, the drop menu shows min and max adjustment length for each available size.

-Model photos show necklace worn at 14 inches (choker style), 15 inches (collarbone style), 17 inches (short necklace style), and 21 inches (long drape style).

-Necklace features hand carved fine silver (95-99% pure silver) nugget beads which are 3mm in size, hexagonal in shape, and a soft brushed finish.

-Beads are strung on a very durable braided black nylon cording. If you would like an alternate cord color, please contact me for other color options.

-Beads are secured on cord with sterling silver crimp end caps, but they can move freely a bit back and forth on the cord.

-I leave a 1/2 inch gap of space on the cord (with no beads) to allow for nice draping of the necklace without the beads crowding each other.

-Necklace is finished with a solid sterling silver lobster clasp, and a solid sterling silver diamond cut curb chain which makes the piece adjustable.

-End of chain extension is finished with one final sterling silver nugget on a torch fired ball pin. Ball pin is left darkened from torch firing to add visual contrast.

-If you have any questions about sizing, or don’t see your desired length in the drop menu, please feel free to contact me.

NECKLACE LENGTH GUIDELINES

If you already know your desired necklace length, simply select it from the drop down menu. Sizes are listed by the inch. If you would like an in between size (example 18 1/2″) please select the closest size from the menu and then leave me a note at checkout requesting the size. I will accommodate the size request as closely as possible.

If you don’t know what length you need, here’s how to measure to get the proper size. Take a flexible tape measure and drape it around your neck at the length you want the necklace to lay. The measurement where the two ends meet is your necklace length.

If you don’t have a tape measure handy, you can use a string and a flat ruler. Simply drape the string around your neck in the same way as you would with a tape measure. Pinch the string on each end where the two ends meet, and then place that section of string against a flat ruler to get your measurement.

You can also measure the length of a necklace you own that fits how you like in order to get your measurement, but if you choose this method please try to measure a necklace that is of a similar style to this one or at least is designed to lay the same way. Different necklace styles can fit very differently even if they are the same length measured end to end.

That’s it! Then choose your necklace measurement from the drop down menu and I will create your necklace to your desired length.

ABOUT FINE SILVER

My fine silver beads and components are made completely by hand in the remote mountain area of Nothern Thailand by the Karen Hill Tribe. Known and respected for their skill and expert craftsmanship in silver smithing, and using centuries old techniques, these artisans create pieces of a distinctive style unique to them. Karen Hill Tribe silver pieces are made of a higher purity than 92.5% sterling silver. Because the actual range is 95-99% purity, these pieces are softer, have a whiter color and will not tarnish as readily as sterling silver. Beads may have a visible seam. Sizes and shapes may vary slightly with these handcrafted items. All of my Hill Tribe fine silver is purchased directly from the source using ethical and fair trade practices.
