A dreamy translucent aquamarine, rose cut faceted and freeform drop shape. Set on a hand forged solid sterling silver backing with rustic texture. Nested in a fine silver scalloped bezel and detailed with an 18k yellow gold accent. Setting is open backed to allow light and color to pass through the stone, highlighting it’s translucent qualities.

Aquamarine is the embodiment of serenity. Gazing at one, for me, has almost the same effect as looking out over a crystalline body of water. I designed this necklace to evoke feelings of peace and tranquility with a rustic feminine style.

This item is one of a kind, you’ll receive the exact necklace shown in the photos. Necklace has been photographed from various angles in both indoor and outdoor lighting to to attempt to show all of it’s nuances and attributes.

THE DETAILS

-Genuine aquamarine, pale milky blue in color and translucent. Rose cut faceted and freeform drop shape.

-Set on a hand forged solid sterling silver drop shaped backing, and nested in a solid fine silver (99.9% pure silver) scalloped bezel around the stone. Above the top of the stone is a solid 18k gold ball accent which creates a focal point and visual interest. Setting is open backed to allow light and color to pass through the stone, highlighting it’s translucent qualities.

-Pendant measures 27mm (1 1/16″) length (including the top loop but not including the jump rings) 16.5mm (just over 5/8″) width at it’s widest point, and 5mm (3/16″) deep.

-Stone measures 17mm length (just under 3/4″), 13mm (1/2″) width at it’s widest point, and about 4mm deep.

-Chain is a solid sterling silver 1.5mm width diamond cut cable chain. It’s sturdy and sparkles like a dream. Chain is finished with a diamond cut extender chain (making it adjustable from 18″ to 20″) and a solid sterling silver lobster claw clasp. Two fine silver faceted nugget beads accent the chain.

-Pendant is connected to chain by two solid sterling silver jump rings which are soldered closed to ensure the pendant stays put.

ABOUT AQUAMARINE

Aquamarine is a member of the beryl family of gems. It is found worldwide with the largest deposits coming from Brazil. It occurs in shades of blue to green and greenish blue.

Aquamarine is known as the “Stone of courage and serenity”. It is said to evoke the sea in both it’s color and energetic properties, cleansing and balancing, purifying and aligning. It is the birthstone for March. Sometimes referred to as the “breath stone” it is also believed to be closely connected with breathing and encouraging calmness, insight, and truth.

My fine silver bezels and raw materials are 99.9% pure silver, and sourced from a reputable supplier in the United States with a history of responsible and ethical practices.

My fine silver beads and components are made completely by hand in the remote mountain area of Northern Thailand by the Karen Hill Tribe. Known and respected for their skill and expert craftsmanship in silver-smithing, and using centuries old techniques, these artisans create pieces of a distinctive style unique to them.
