“Promise of Spring” Earrings ~ The stillness in the air, the crispness of the moment, the bright yet stark contrast of a winter setting; it can almost take your breath away… but always near is the promise of green, the breath of life, and the return of spring once more.

Meticulously hand forged of solid sterling silver and feature genuine dendritic opals and breathtaking faceted moss kyanite.

These earrings are one of a kind, you will receive the exact pair shown here.

THE DETAILS

-Solid sterling silver throughout (hooks, settings, torch fired rivets).

-Hooks are kidney wires with a loop catch on the back so you can wear them securely.

-Genuine dendritic opal stones dangle from hand wrought sterling silver harnesses. A torch fired rivet secures them to the harness allowing them to sway in a lovely way. Stones are shades of white, grey, black, beige and opaque.

-Bezel set above are genuine rose cut faceted moss kyanite stones in a truly surreal and mesmerizing shade of green-blue.

-Total length of earrings from top of hooks to bottom of design is 50mm (just under 2″). Kyanite stones are 6mm in size.

ABOUT DENDRITIC OPAL

Dendritic opal is a hydrated silica mineraloid with mossy or branching fern like inclusions which are iron or manganese oxide deposits, reminiscent of natural flora. It is typically monochromatic (black, white, beige) and is generally opaque.

Dendritic Agate is considered to be a stone of growth and transformation, intuition and clarity, and connection to nature. It is believed to offer wisdom and insight, and a well balanced harmonious energy that can help ground the wearer and calm one’s thoughts.

ABOUT KYANITE

Kyanite is a semi-precious gem quality stone which forms in triclinic crystals or prisms, sometimes referred to as “blades”. It’s name comes from the Greek word “Kyanos” which means deep blue, though it can also form in white, gray, green, orange and yellow. The rarest Kyanite is the colorless variety, but the most sought after is blue.

Kyanite has been called the “Stone of Alignment”, believed to be one of the most excellent stones for meditation, and for cleaning and clearing energy. It is said to be a stone of very powerful high vibration and alignment, used often as a healing and balancing crystal.
