It has been a wild, beautiful whirlwind over the last several weeks! Ever since the wearable art show, we haven’t slowed down for a second! From Mural Fest, Book Fair, and Bridgefest, to slinging paint for palette knife painting at The Exchange.
It’s been an incredible run of events, but after running on high gear for so long, we wanted to pause tonight and focus on something that keeps us grounded: why hanging out with other artists is so important.
Making art can be a surprisingly lonely road. You spend hours inside your own head, wrestling with ideas, doubt, and creative fatigue. But when you get together with fellow creators, everything shifts. If you’re feeling isolated in your craft, here is why community matters so much: Hanging out with other artists reminds you that you aren’t crazy, and you definitely aren’t alone.
It gives you a space to vent about creative ruts, celebrate weird wins, swap ideas, and recharge your batteries with people who actually get it. You don’t have to explain why you spent three days making a cardboard outfit or worrying about color theory, they just understand. It removes the pressure to explain yourself and replaces it with pure encouragement and fresh inspiration.
That’s why we hang out with artists in our area and also dedicate one Sunday a month to hold a group call with our Rogue Fam on Patreon. So, go out and find you peeps and hang out with them… You are not alone in this.
