Before there were videos, before comment sections, before algorithms, there were letters. When we wrote Dear Artist, Don’t Give Up, it began as a series of letters, quiet reminders written for artists who felt stuck, tired, unseen, or unsure if they could keep going. What surprised us most was what came next. People started writing back.
The Mailbox Project is an extension of that conversation and a way to connect with you!
MAIL US SOMETHING AND GET MORE THAN A VIDEO RESPONSE!
When you mail us a question to our PO BOX we will send back a signed art postcard with an encouraging note.

How It Works
- Write one question or letter by hand.
- Include your first name (or stay anonymous).
- Mail it to our PO Box.
- We’ll answer one mailed piece at a time in a future video.
- You will receive a postcard in the mail from us!
Where to Send Your Letter
Rafi & Klee Studios
PO Box 1573

A Few Gentle Boundaries
- Please don’t send original art you need returned.
- We may paraphrase or anonymize letters.
- By sending mail, you give permission for it to be shared publicly in video or writing.
Your words will always be treated with care.
Why We Are Doing It This Way
Writing by hand slows your thoughts down. Mail takes time to arrive. And that space, that pause, is where honesty tends to live. Honestly, trying to juggle an art career and respond to hundreds of comments and questions online is a bit overwhelming. We don’t have a team of YouTubers working behind the scenes and it can get to be too much screen time. This brings it back to basics and gives us something tangible to work with and organize. Don’t get me wrong, we love reading comments, but we just can’t get to all of them online.
