“Prism in the Frost” celebrates the unexpected spectrum of light found in the coldest months. We are seeking pieces that contrast the stark, icy stillness of winter with vivid palettes, crystalline textures, and radiant energy. Show us how color breaks through the white and gray of the season.

Exhibition Theme
“Emergent Petals” explores the concept of growth, the awakening of the Earth, and the organic textures that surface as the frost retreats. We are looking for pieces that highlight new life, floral forms, botanical inspiration, and the soft, yet resilient energy of the vernal transition.

- Ready to Hang: All 2D artwork must be framed or on gallery-wrapped canvas with a wire hanger securely attached to the back. (No sawtooth hangers or clips, please).
- Family Friendly: As much as we enjoy controversial topics, nudity, and swear words in art, the venue has asked to keep the work family friendly, do to the environment they foster. Any art that does not follow this guideline will not make it in the exhibition.
- Labeling: Please clearly label the back of your work with your Name, Title of the Piece, Medium, and Price (or “NFS” if not for sale).
- Originality: We welcome all mediums, but work must be original and created by the submitting artist.
- Drop-off/Pick-up: Artists are responsible for transporting their work to and from the gallery at 100 Seneca St. during the designated times. Or Contact us to arrange drop off.

Exhibition Loan Agreement & General Conditions
Host Venue: The Exchange, 100 Seneca St, Oil City, PA
Organizer: Rafi and Klee Studios
1. Care, Preservation, and Exhibition
The Exchange and Rafi and Klee Studios (the “Organizers”) will provide the object(s) lent with the same care and security as they do for their own property. Objects will be protected from fire, theft, mishandling, and environmental extremes while in the Organizers’ custody, subject to the limitations in Section 3. The Lender understands that all tangible objects are subject to gradual inherent deterioration for which neither party is responsible. Rafi and Klee Studios retains the right to determine the duration, placement, and lighting of all exhibited works.
2. Transportation and Packing
The Lender certifies that the artwork is in a condition to withstand ordinary strains of packing, transportation, and handling. Art must be delivered to the 1st Floor of The Exchange during the designated Art Drop-off window. The Lender is responsible for all transportation costs and for ensuring the work is adequately and securely packed. Work will be returned in the same or similar materials as received.
3. Insurance and Liability (Hold Harmless)
The Exchange and Rafi and Klee Studios shall be held harmless from any and all liability regarding objects lent. It is the sole responsibility of the Lender to provide their own insurance coverage for all works. If the Lender waives insurance, this waiver shall constitute a formal agreement to release, indemnify, and hold harmless The Exchange and Rafi and Klee Studios from any liability for damage, loss, or theft of the object(s) lent while on the premises or in the Organizers’ custody. The Organizers do not assume financial responsibility for the replacement, repair, or reimbursement of work for any reason.
4. Reproduction and Credit
Unless otherwise notified in writing, the Organizers may photograph, livestream, or reproduce the object for educational, catalog, and publicity purposes (including social media and website promotion). The general public may photograph the exhibition without a flash or tripod. Proper credit will be given to the Artist/Lender as specified on the submission form.
5. Installation Requirements
All 2D artwork must be ready to hang with a secure wire hanger. The Organizers reserve the right to refuse any work that is not properly wired or is deemed structurally unsound for display. Labels and display methods are at the sole discretion of the Organizers.
6. Return of Work and Abandoned Property
All loans must be reclaimed during the designated Art Pick-up window.
- Late Pick-up: If the work is not collected within 30 days following the show’s end, the Organizers reserve the right to charge storage fees at the Lender’s expense.
- Abandonment: If the work is not reclaimed within 60 days after the close of the exhibition, the work shall be considered legally abandoned.
- Disposal: The Lender hereby authorizes the Organizers to sell, donate, or otherwise dispose of abandoned property without further notice or financial compensation to the Lender.
7. Sale of Work and Sales Tax
If a work is sold during the period of the loan, the Organizers shall pay the Lender the selling price minus a 20% commission fee for the venue.
- Sales Tax: The Venue (The Exchange) will collect and remit all applicable Pennsylvania state sales tax on the total retail price at the point of sale. Sales tax is collected in addition to the retail price and does not affect the artist’s net payout.
- Finality: All sales are final and facilitated exclusively by the gallery’s point-of-sale system.
8. Agreement
The foregoing constitutes the entire agreement of the parties. No modifications may be made except in writing signed by both the Lender and a representative of Rafi and Klee Studios.
How to Submit Your Art: 3 Simple Steps
Ready to showcase your work at Gallery Night At The Exchange? Follow these steps to complete your submission:
- Pay Submission Fee. Click payment box to pay your non-refundable entry fee.
- Fill Out Application below. Once your fee is processed, complete the artist application. Make sure you hit the submit button when finished.
- Response You will receive a congratulations email from us with the contract the weekend after deadline. Fill out and sign the contract and bring it in with the artwork on drop off day. Add Info@rafiandklee.com to your email contacts. (Check your spam folder anyhow).
