Hello to all our makers, shakers, and creative boundary breakers!
Every now and then, an event comes along that is just pure, unadulterated creative fun. We are incredibly excited to share that the brilliant creators over at The Artists of the Annex are organizing a brand new spectacle in town: The Wearable Art Fashion Show!
This is exactly the kind of high-energy, highly imaginative community event we love. In fact, I am already brainstorming and looking forward to runwaying my own creation down the catwalk!
If you’ve ever wanted to turn your artistic vision into something you can actually wear, now is your chance to step out of the studio and onto the runway.
What is the Show About?
The Wearable Art Fashion Show celebrates absolute creativity, individuality, and pure artistic expression. This year’s official theme is “Express Yourself,” and they are inviting everyone to showcase original pieces that tell a story, reflect a perspective, or just show off your unique personality.
Here is the best part: whatever your medium, it fits as long as you can wear it! Your design can use traditional fabrics or completely unconventional materials. They are welcoming:
- Avant-garde fabric creations
- Wild sculptural pieces
- A giant canvas sandwich board
- Literally anything else your brilliant mind can construct that hangs on the human form!
Event Details & Crucial Dates
The main event will transform Pipeline Alley into an outdoor, urban runway experience. Mark your calendars with these key dates:
- Application Deadline: Sunday, July 5, 2026
- Participant Notification: By July 10, 2026
- Rehearsal Date: Saturday, August 1, 2026 (Times TBA)
- Fashion Show Date: Saturday, August 8, 2026 (Times TBA)
- Location: Pipeline Alley, 206 Seneca Street, Oil City, PA 16301
- Entry Fee: $10
Selected participants will receive all the extra logistics, rehearsal times, and show guidelines right after the July 10th notification date.
