CALL FOR ARTISTS: Mural Fest in Oil City! UPDATED

Hi awesome local creatives!

Mural Fest is quickly approaching, and we are officially calling on our amazing local art community to help make history with Oil City’s very first Mural Fest! We are looking for artists to showcase their talents during live painting sessions on August 21st & 22nd at Town Square (the park in front of 100 Seneca).

Paint a Single Panel OR up to a Full Monolith!

We are constructing 4-sided Mural Monoliths! Each side features a custom, pre-primed 2ft x 5ft vertical panel.

• Flexibility: You can submit a design for a single panel OR choose to take on up to 4 panels (a full 4-sided monolith) as one cohesive piece! You can do 1, 2, 3, or 4 panels.
• Multiple Stipends: Artists will receive a $200 stipend PER panel completed (meaning if you complete a full 4-panel monolith, you will collect $800!). I am working on building that up for future events.

• No Entry Fee: It is 100% free to apply!
• The Themes: Local Nature, Recreation, Trails, and Biking or an awesome design that captures something special about this area.
• Event Dates: Prep Day on Aug 21st & Festival Day on Aug 22nd (painting live from 12pm – 6 PM).
• Location: Town Square (Park in front of 100 Seneca, Oil City)

Mural Design Submission Instructions

1. Design Dimensions & Orientation Each panel is 2 ft wide by 5 ft tall (vertical orientation). You may submit a concept for 1 to 4 panels (limit 4 panels / 1 full monolith per artist MAX).
2. Concept Description Include a brief written summary explaining your concept and how it relates to the theme(s). If proposing multiple panels, let us know how they connect!
3. Content Guidelines Submissions must be original work suitable for a public, family-friendly event. Designs with explicit violence, nudity, hate speech, or political advertising will be disqualified.

How to Apply (Deadline: August 1st at 11:59 PM)

Don’t overthink your design, we just need a solid concept! You can apply in two ways:

1. Online (Fastest): Fill out the form directly online at https://rafiandklee.com/muralfest/
2. Download & Submit: Download the application form, attach your concept sketch/rendering, and:
   • Email it to: Info@rafiandklee.com (Subject line: Mural Fest 2026 Application – [Your Name]) OR
   • Drop it off in person at: The Fallen Shoppe (17 Central Ave, Oil City).
