Is It A Gift?

Description

A simple and classic necklace featuring a single semi-round ivory cream freshwater pearl. Set on a torch fired sterling silver headpin and dangling from a sterling silver chain, it makes an elegant statement whether worn casual or dressed up.

The color of pearls can be difficult to describe as they often show different tones and overtones in various lighting settings. The pearls used for this design have a body color of creamy ivory with very subtle golden pink overtones.

Pearls have been photographed in both indoor and outdoor light, at various angles and light directions to attempt to accurately portray their color and tones.

This necklace is made to order, the one in the photos is sold and yours will be created just for you.

THE DETAILS

-Genuine untreated freshwater pearl, semi-round to round in shape and ivory cream in color with subtle golden pink overtones (best seen in daylight). Surface shows nice luster with some surface divots as typical with genuine pearls.

-I will select a pearl from my collection to create your bespoke necklace, each one is unique and they are all beautiful.

-Pearls vary slightly in size but most of them average 8-9mm (about 3/8″) not including headpin, total pendant length with headpin is 13-14mm or just over 1/2″.

-Set on a torch fired solid sterling silver headpin, the bottom of which is left darkened from torch firing to add contrast and visual interest.

-Chain is a delicate 1.4mm solid sterling silver cable chain with small spring ring clasp. These links catch light beautifully. *Please Note* This chain is quite sturdy for it’s delicate look, but as with any fine chain, should be handled with due care.

-Choose your desired chain length from the drop down menu. (Necklace in photos is 16″ length).

Size Chart

NECKLACE LENGTH GUIDELINES
  • If you already know your desired necklace length, simply select it from the drop down menu. Sizes are listed by the inch. If you would like an in between size (example 18 1/2") please select the closest size from the menu and then leave me a note at checkout requesting the size. I will accommodate the size request as closely as possible.
  • If you don't know what length you need, here's how to measure to get the proper size. Take a flexible tape measure and drape it around your neck at the length you want the necklace to lay. The measurement where the two ends meet is your necklace length.
  • If you don't have a tape measure handy, you can use a string and a flat ruler. Simply drape the string around your neck in the same way as you would with a tape measure. Pinch the string on each end where the two ends meet, and then place that section of string against a flat ruler to get your measurement.
  • You can also measure the length of a necklace you own that fits how you like in order to get your measurement, but if you choose this method please try to measure a necklace that is of a similar style to this one or at least is designed to lay the same way. Different necklace styles can fit very differently even if they are the same length measured end to end.
